Reverse Krillion: Depth Scoring Rules & Axioms

Reverse Krillion rejects classical trivia rules. This document explains the exact mathematical formulas, crowd density penalties, and zone thresholds required to complete a 7,000m deep dive.

01. The Inverse Decay Function

How Submarine Depth is Calculated

Every round presents an open-ended category prompt (e.g. "Name a European sovereign nation" or "Name a Nobel Prize laureate in Physics"). When you submit your answer, the game computes the global selection frequency P against all submitted player attempts for that daily cycle.

Mathematical Model:
Depth Yield (m) = Base × e(-λ × P) - Invalid_Penalty
Where Base = 1,000m, λ = 0.133, and P is the global crowd percentage.

The 4 Bathymetric Depth Zones

Depth Zone Crowd Selection % Round Yield Strategic Verdict
🌊 Hadal Zone < 1.5% +900m ~ 1,000m Ideal target. 7 consecutive Hadal answers hit 7,000m.
⚓ Abyssal Zone 1.5% ~ 8.0% +600m ~ 890m Reliable descent. Safe cushion against disqualified entries.
⚠️ Bathyal Shelf 8.0% ~ 20.0% +200m ~ 590m Dangerous drag. Multiple rounds here will fail the trench.
🚨 Surface Trap > 20.0% 0m ~ 190m Catastrophic collapse. The most obvious answers kill the dive.
Rule 01

Validity is Non-Negotiable

An answer that does not strictly satisfy the prompt criteria receives 0m and inflicts a hull integrity penalty. Obscurity only counts if strictly correct.

Rule 02

Beware The "Clever" Trap

Answers that *sound* obscure but are universally taught (like Monaco for microstates or Citizen Kane for films) are actually massive crowd clusters.

Rule 03

No In-Game Edits

Once your submission is locked into the submarine console, the depth calculation is permanent for that daily seed. No retries or rollbacks.
